Student Union Plaza
The University of Mississippi will host its eighth annual Sustainability Fair on the Student Union Plaza on Wednesday, April 20th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Sustainability Fair is an exciting and interactive way to learn more about sustainability at Ole Miss and in the Oxford community. Students, faculty, staff, and community members have the opportunity to come together and spark discussion about how to live a more sustainable lifestyle and why this is important. The fair features participants who focus on aspects of sustainability such as eating local produce, saving energy, composting, using sustainable transportation, and much more.
Things to look for at this year’s Sustainability Fair:
Our fresh and local Farmer’s Market
Interactive activities like the Carbon Footprint Calculator
Giveaways and prizes such as stickers, buttons, frisbees, and the Green Week T-shirt!
Past fair participants have included local food vendors, farmers and CSAs, community businesses, student clubs and organizations, and academic departments. If you are interested in having a display at this year’s Sustainability Fair, please contact Kelli Coleman at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the online registration form before March 23rd.
