Green Week begins on Monday, April 16 and ends on Sunday, April 22.
Tuesday, April 17
Center for Manufacturing Excellence (third floor multipurpose room)
The newly updated UM Master Plan includes a mobility framework, which emphasizes pedestrian movement and university sponsored transit and includes plans for an expanded bicycle network, a series of transit hubs and more. Learn about these these long-term plans, as well as current efforts, during this Green Week Lunch & Learn featuring university architect Ian Banner and director of parking and transportation Mike Harris. Lunch and coffee will be provided.
Oxford Community Market Season Kick Off, 3-6:30 P.M
Old Armory Pavilion
Celebrate the kick off of farmers market season by visiting the Oxford Community Market. Shop for produce, baked goods, and other locally produced items. Live music, free cake, kids’ activities and more.

The Oxford Community Market’s First Market Feast fundraiser will feature chefs Vishwesh Bhatt (Snackbar), Corbin Evans (Oxford Canteen), Nick Reppond and Heath Johnson (GRIT), Joel Miller (Ravine) and John Stokes (Tarasque). Tickets required.

Sustainability Fair, 10 A.M.-1 P.M.
UM Campus, Galtney-Lott Plaza
Campus and community organizations gather on the university’s campus to promote sustainable practices.

Thursday, April 19
Arbor Day Celebration, 1 P.M.
Join UM Landscape Services and the Office of Sustainability in celebrating Arbor Day. There will be a hands-on tree planting ceremony and a catalpa seedlings giveaway (while supplies last).
Saturday, April 21
Give Back to SPAC, 9:30 A.M.-12 P.M.
Strawberry Plains Audubon Center
The Strawberry Plains Audubon Center is hosting a volunteer day at their site in Holly Springs. The Office of Sustainability will be providing a van for volunteers from Oxford to Holly Springs and back.

Earth Day Yoga, 4 P.M. (NOTE: Date has changed from Sunday to Saturday due to rain in forecast)
South Campus Rail Trail (on campus)
Join Ole Miss Outdoors for a relaxing Earth Day celebration, and enjoy yoga in nature. No prior yoga experience necessary. Instruction and yoga mat provided. $5 students & $10 community.

Camille Dungy, editor of Black Nature, will be Green Week 2018’s Keynote speaker. The keynote address will be given at 7 pm in the Overby Center Auditorium.
