2017 Green Week Challenge
Take the 2017 Green Week Challenge and learn about easy ways to go green in Oxford! Participants who complete four acts (one in each category) will receive a free Green Week t-shirt* (made from recycled plastic bottles) and be entered to win a Yeti Roadie cooler.
Who can participate?
Anyone in the university, Oxford or Lafayette County community can participate. Interested? Join the Facebook event.
1.) Complete at four acts (one in each category) during Green Week (April 17-22). Download and print the Green Week Challenge Card or pick up a hard copy at various locations throughout campus and Oxford such as High Point Coffee, Square Books, the J.D. Williams Library, the Turner Center and Weir Hall. (The Challenge card is on the back of the Green Week schedule postcard.)
2.) Using the icon key on the card, document that you’ve completed each task.
3.) Bring your completed card to the UM Office of Sustainability (700 Hathorn Road) on Monday, April 24 between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or the Oxford Community Market in Oxford on Tuesday, April 25 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. to redeem your prize!
How to get to the Office of Sustainability: The UM Office of Sustainability is located in the John W. White Administration Building at 700 Hathorn Road. View the location on the campus map. The building is accessible via OUT bus and personal vehicle.
How to get to the Oxford Community Market: The Oxford Community Market takes place at the Old Armory Pavilion located on the corner of Bramlett Blvd. and University Ave.
