David Haskell will deliver the 2017 Earth Day Keynote Address. Haskell is a professor of Biology and Environmental Studies at the University of the South and author of The Forest Unseen: A Year’s Watch in Nature,” which explores the local diversity in one square meter of the forest floor in Shakerag Hollow, atop the Cumberland Plateau in Sewanee, Tennessee over a calendar year. He will be speaking about his new book The Songs of Trees: Stories from Nature’s Great Connectors.
